The Financial Services Team, within the Group Insurance Disability Organization, is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Disability Claims Manager on the Offset Identification and Settlement Team. The successful candidate will have a proficient understanding of deductible sources of income and the relevant state and federal laws.


This role will require the ability to analyze information related to deductible sources of income (offsets), state and federal laws, and other contractual provisions to ensure the accuracy of payments on disability claims as outlined within the policy.

What you can expect:
• Review settlements to determine if they are a deductible source of income under the policy.
• Assist in the negotiation process for Prudential’s right of recovery and/or subrogation rights for deductible sources of income.
• Provide support to the Group Insurance Disability Organization on offset management.
• Assist in identifying knowledge gaps through review of claims and control reports.
• Help with training sessions for the Group Insurance Disability Organization.
• Respond to customer service issues within required timeframes to meet customer expectations.

What you’ll need:
• Minimum of 2 years in Group Insurance of similar claims experience required.
• Basic understanding of Social Security Administration, Workers’ Compensation, and State Disability deductible sources of income.
• Solid communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to solve complex claim scenarios with guidance.
• Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the organization.
• Proficiency in Teams, MS Word, and Excel.

Additional Requirements:

This position will work virtually, therefore new hires must be able to provide the following & all new hires who work remotely will be held accountable to these standards:

  • Subscribe to internet service provider plan with at least 25 Mbps download speeds. You must be willing to troubleshoot any issues or outages with your home internet service, contacting your service provider as necessary.
  • Must have the capability to handle calls with a cell phone (would need to have unlimited data and minutes) or a landline. Your personal phone number will not be identified to customers.
  • Quiet area in your home with minimal distractions and noise free.

What we offer you:
Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $55,300.00 to $82,300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
