Job description

Callibrity is based in Cincinnati, OH, Columbus, OH and Chicago, IL. This role will be virtual, remote-based but must work U.S. Eastern or Central Time work hours. Will not consider non-US based candidates or Corp to Corp candidates.

As a Ruby on Rails Developer, you understand the client’s big-picture business value and technical direction and can articulate possible solutions and next steps beyond the project at hand. You will integrate into a software development team without needing ongoing, daily supervision. You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with client stakeholders on greenfield software development projects. You will regularly participate in pair programming and code reviews, putting you in the position to share your knowledge and upskill your team. You’re driven to learn new technologies and frameworks.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React
  • Previous working experience in high-growth technology companies and/or startups
  • Understanding of scrum, unit testing, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps
  • Knowledge of microserviced architectures and RESTful APIs, especially in Ruby on Rails
  • Good experience with relational databases
  • Relevant professional experience in Information Technology and/or Consulting
  • Four-year degree or successful completion of respected bootcamp/accelerator, or extensive mentorship program
  • Successfully solve Callibrity’s CoderPad and Code Pairing Challenges
  • Interpersonal skills: Influencer, professionalism and accountability, passion for learning, us not them mentality, shared responsibility

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States, without sponsorship
