Position Description

The Territory Representative is responsible for developing Milwaukee as the brand of choice at distribution.

You will be responsible for all aspects of your territory’s operational activities including New Dealer Placements, Circle Back programs, Hand Tool & Accessory Conversions, merchandising, and product knowledge sessions. The ability to identify dealer opportunities, gain placement and eliminate competitive brands is vital to your success in this role. A successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator, well organized, have acute problem-solving skills, and have a high-level drive for success.   An ability to ask creative probing questions that uncover dealer needs and objections is key.  Extensive travel will ensure 90% of your time is spent customer facing.

What You Will Do

The Territory Representative will present channel specific programs to select distribution within the assigned territory. The goal of securing show room real-estate and driving warehouse replenishment are focus priorities.

  • Work with the Regional Field Sales Manager to identify opportunities and achieve annual sales goals and key objectives through channel programming.
  • Expand Showroom footprints of Milwaukee product categories.
  • Convert competitive branded product at dealers within your territory.
  • Support POS driving activity as required.
  • Foster relationships with Business Development Managers to identify corporate store merchandising and conversions opportunities.  Promote warehouse replenishment.
  • Work at Hardware & Automotive Buying Shows to build relationships with prospective dealers.
  • Support dealers with product knowledge sessions and assist where required with FMR events.
  • Manage annual T & E Budget.
  • Engage positively with Channel specific NAMs/KAMs/SAMs and various Marketing Managers.
  • Report and comment on competitive market trends noticeable in the field.
  • Manage an active CRM with the use of Monday.com
  • Build quarterly and annual sales plans and forecast appropriately to these plans.
  • Develop best in class conversion summaries with before & after photos.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2-years experience in Sales or related field.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must possess effective business communication skills and broad business perspective.
  • Proven ability to translate business goals into executed action plans.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and clean drivers abstract.
  • Ability to travel 90% of time outside of home office area.
