The Opportunity

Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Senior Cloud Network Engineer. In this role, you will work with the infrastructure services team and our managed service providers to engineer, configure, deploy, maintain, and secure the Valvoline and Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) networks. You will make a difference every day by assisting with the development of standard processes for cloud and on-premise network infrastructure deployments with a security mindset.

 

How You'll Make a Difference

  • Design and implement various network infrastructure.

  • Work with the infrastructure and security teams to analyze, diagnose, debug, and resolve moderate to complex issues.

  • Provide technical leadership on complex IT infrastructure network and/or security projects and champion new capabilities/services.

  • Architect and deploy network and security services into public cloud infrastructure.

  • Work with service providers to evaluate and implement new technology solutions and maintain existing environments.

  • Help team maintain an inventory of assets and create, update, and maintain relevant documentation for IT processes and procedures.

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain corporate network infrastructure.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five years of network experience
  • Experience with global data networks including, but not limited to LAN, WAN, Wireless, proxy, and firewalls
  • Experience configuring and managing AWS security infrastructure
  • Experience with Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco devices
  • Experience architecting and implementing infrastructure, security, and/or network projects
  • Intermediate experience with network configuration for server and client operating systems
  • Ability to work effectively and collaborate with IT leadership, team members, third-party vendor providers, and network carriers
  • This role requires individuals to work within the demands of a global 24x7, high availability, transaction-oriented team
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
