Essential Job Functions

  • Install, configure, administer, and support medium to large J2EE deployments, including JBoss EAP, WebSphere AS, WebLogic AS, and Tomcat Server across multiple versions.
  • Maintain a highly available and clustered Web Application infrastructure spanning multiple DMZs with connectivity to Mainframe, Windows, UNIX, and Linux platforms.
  • Perform administration and maintenance tasks for WebSphere, JBoss, Apache, and Tomcat Server platforms.
  • Utilize configuration and automation tools such as Ansible and Chef to implement Infrastructure as Code.
  • Work with DevOps tools including Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Independently manage workload priorities to balance project and operational tasks while meeting customer expectations and deadlines.
  • Provide 24x7 on-call production and non-production middleware support for multiple business-critical applications.
  • Perform troubleshooting, problem determination, root cause analysis, and rapid problem resolution.
  • Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and customer-focused support practices.

Technical Expertise

  • 7+ years of experience in middleware administration with a strong background in JBoss EAP, WebLogic, and WebSphere.
  • Experience in installing, configuring, and administering RedHat Linux, Solaris, and Windows operating systems.
  • Strong understanding of Shell or Bash scripting.
  • Knowledge of security configurations, including MQ, UNIX, and Windows security using certificates and other methods.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Chef.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools including Git, Jenkins, Chef, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, software development, and quality assurance concepts.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking capabilities.

Work Environment

  • Remote opportunity within the United States.
