Job description

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support a globally dispersed team working on the development and continuous enhancement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (ERP & CRM).

 

The team operates within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment, focusing on delivering high-quality, iterative solutions aligned with business objectives.

 

This role is crucial for ensuring that the team adheres to Agile principles while optimising performance and communication.

 

Reporting to the Head of Delivery, you will be responsible for facilitating the agile delivery process and ensuring that the Scrum team adheres to Scrum principles and practices.

 

Your role is to foster collaboration, remove impediments, and enable the team to deliver high-quality products efficiently and predictably.

 

This position will be remote with standard UK working hours but supporting a globally disperse development team. Role reports to Global Head of Agile Delivery.

 

Salary is up to £75,000 dependent on experience

You Will:
  • Facilitate Scrum events including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives to ensure they are productive and effective.
  • Coach the Scrum team on Scrum principles, practices, and ceremonies to foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Support the Scrum team by removing impediments, resolving conflicts, and shielding them from external distractions to maintain focus on Sprint goals.
  • Empower the team to self-organize and make decisions collaboratively to achieve Sprint objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner and Product Management team to prioritize and refine the Product Backlog, ensuring it is well-defined, ordered, and achievable.
  • Guide the team in breaking down user stories into smaller tasks, estimating effort required for each item and managing work in progress (WIP) levels.
  • Monitor and track team progress towards Sprint goals, providing transparency and visibility into the team's performance through Sprint Burndown Charts and other relevant metrics.
  • Generate reports and metrics to stakeholders to communicate progress, identify risks, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Facilitate Sprint Retrospectives to reflect on past iterations and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Implement action items and experiments to address areas of improvement and enhance team performance.
  • Act as a liaison between the Scrum team and stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration to ensure alignment on project goals and priorities.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and address their concerns or feedback in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated on Scrum methodologies, frameworks, and best practices, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge as a Scrum Master.
  • Act as a servant-leader, embodying the values of Scrum and promoting a culture of trust, transparency, and accountability within the team
Requirements:
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is essential
  • Certified Scrum Master (SAFe preferred)
  • 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and principles
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or relevant field preferred
  • Strong Knowledge and expertise in DevOps delivery, strategy and application lifecycle management
  • Experience with supply chain or procurement would be highly desirable
  • Experience in Agile tools (Azure DevOps preferred)
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in Resource management
