Job Purpose:
 

This position is responsible for leading all of credit union and wealth management sales, including B2B Sales, TruStage Wealth Management Solutions, Annuities, Retirement and Executive Benefits teams to ensure continued growth and increased profitability for the TruStage organization and alignment with Business Segment leaders. This position will develop and manage strategic and operating plans, budgets, and key performance indicators to build an outstanding sales organization that consistently exceeds revenue and expense targets while providing an exceptional partner experience. This position will leverage data and insights to scale and synchronize sales through a segmentation strategy that focuses on partner segments, that drive profitable business growth for TruStage products with credit unions and wealth management partners. Finally, this position will proactively build, coach, and motivate a team culture of results-excellence, innovation, positivity, diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging and the highest levels of integrity.

Job Responsibilities:
 

  • Drive strategic direction and operational performance of the credit union and wealth management sales teams to achieve the revenue goals of the business.
  • Define and successfully execute the sales plan to drive revenue and net income financial results.
  • Develop and implement partner sales strategies that drive effective and efficient profitable revenue growth through successful execution of the business strategy in partnership with the business segments, marketing and other shared services that support success, organizational structure, employee talent strategy, and compensation plan design.
  • Create operational structure, sales processes, and sales procedures to ensure effective operations to support the sales teams in providing optimal performance, loyalty, and satisfaction to our credit union and wealth management partners, partnering with shared services across TruStage and within the greater sales and marketing organization.
  • Foster a positive culture that aligns with future vision within a consistently high-performing organization.
  • Collaborate with business segment leaders, marketing, and customer service in developing, launching, and delivering products and defining future strategies that drive profitable revenue growth of products that meet the needs of our partners and their customers to ensure long-term success.
  • Collaborate with business segment leaders on providing updates, communicating the sales strategy, and obtaining approval where necessary.
  • Develop, win, maintain, and grow relationships with key customers and partners.

Job Requirements:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree or equivalent related professional work experience.
  • 15+ years of professional work experience in wealth management industry including significant leadership experience and significant revenue generation experience.
  • Professional Designations such as CIMA, CFP, ChFC, AIF or related designations preferred.
  • Proven understanding of trends and opportunities within fin-tech, annuities, wealth management and credit union marketplaces.
  • Advanced leadership skills that develop and maximize talent of leaders, individuals, and teams.
  • Proven record of developing sales teams and process strategies and successfully executing those strategies/vision that are effective and efficient at achieving high performing results in a positive cultured environment.
  • Demonstrated relationship building with partners and across a matrixed organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong influencing skills; demonstrated ability to challenge and persuade, direct stakeholders to the best decision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal experience required.
  • Proven supervisory, influencing, conflict resolution, relationship building, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing strategies which will improve competitive position and achieve sales goals.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time.
