Role:

As an intermediate Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role within our development team, which includes developers and a product manager. Reporting to the QA Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of all outputs from your team. You will conduct tests in both staging and production environments to ensure that all features are functional and meet our high standards before they reach our users.

Responsibilities:

• Feature Testing: Conduct both technical and non-technical testing on all new features and changes developed within the team.
• Test Strategy Development: Collaborate with the QA Lead to design regression cycles, test strategies, and testing approaches.
• Regression Testing: Execute regression tests, analyze results, and report findings back to the team.
• Automation Collaboration: Work alongside the QA Lead to design and implement automation tests.
• Quality Ownership: Take full ownership of the quality assurance process for your team’s deliverables, ensuring comprehensive testing is completed prior to release.
• Stakeholder Communication: Present sprint changes to relevant stakeholders and the QA team, highlighting potential impacts and improvements.
• Proactive Engagement: Proactively raise concerns about any features or changes that could negatively impact other parts of the application.

Requirements:

• Ability to learn and understand the application inside and out, including both backend and frontend components. You should be able to grasp the underlying logic and workflows to effectively identify and address potential issues.
• Solid understanding of web application’s architecture and systems. Ability to quickly learn and master new tools and technologies.
• Solid experience with agile and testing methodologies. Proficient in using test management tools like Jira and TestRail.
• Experience with databases such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL, and competency in performing SQL queries.
• Skilled in API testing and using automation frameworks and tools such as Cypress and Selenium.
• Strong communication abilities to effectively collaborate with engineers and drive sprint progress.
• Prior experience in testing within an e-commerce platform is a plus but not required.

Compensation:

We offer a starting base salary of $78,000-$85,000 CAD depending on experience.

We take a holistic approach to compensation at Stamped. Total compensation includes Salary, benefits, RRSP, ESPP, an annual education allowance and other perks.
