Distribution Engineer/Designer

Distribution Designer / Engineer / Planner - Remote Position but willing to relocate to the Seattle area

SELECT Power Systems is looking for both Distribution Designers and Distribution Engineers for overhead and underground distribution work with a client in the Seattle area in the utility industry and this will be a remote work from home position once in the Seattle area. Must have two years of previous experience working as a distribution engineer or designer in the utility industry. 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Provide design / engineering services for overhead and underground electrical distribution lines from meter to substation
• Generate engineering drawings using AutoCAD
• Troubleshoot distribution lines
• Carry out projects according to schedule and budget
• Communicate project status to various internal and external parties

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2 years of electrical distribution design experience
• For designers an associates degree is desired but not necessary as long as you have 5+ years of experience
• For engineers an bachelor's degree is needed and having there EIT or PE would be a bonus
• Experienced user of AutoCAD, Microstation, AUD, Pole Foreman or O-Calc is a plus
• Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Good organization skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
