Our Records and Information Management team develops compliant records and archive management frameworks and practices designed to enhance business process, strengthen decision making, and preserve corporate memory. Our team of dedicated and responsive information professionals work collaboratively with business partners to help them perform their work effectively and efficiently by ensuring recorded information is accurate, reliable and usable throughout its lifecycle.

As Labour & Employment Counsel for the Business Solutions team, reporting to the AVP Legal (Business Solutions), you will be responsible to conduct research, prepare legal opinions, and provide advice for a wide range of employment law matters.

How you will create impact:
  • Providing legal advice for a broad range of employment-related matters, including employee discipline, restructures, terminations, severance packages, workplace investigations, human rights accommodations, hiring practices, and employment guidelines.
  • Negotiating severance packages post-termination and drafting various employment-related documents, including termination letters, employment contracts, policies and guidelines.
  • Providing assistance to clients to ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Cultivating and maintaining effective relationships with business partners to ensure the legal needs of the enterprise are met.
  • Researching legal and compliance issues, and providing recommendations while keeping current on legislation and legal developments.

  • You have a Law Degree and are a member in good standing of the Bar in any Canadian province or territory.
