Content Enrichment Specialist - MENA (Part-Time)

The Content Enrichment Specialist - MENA delivers curation services related to pop culture video content for our client through reviewing, analyzing, researching, and building stories with online video content. This role reviews video content according to guidelines and provides analysis and feedback for the internal team and the client. They will utilize their passion for pop culture and social media trends to identify patterns and provide insight on the digital landscape.

This role requires adaptability to pivot in a fast paced environment and the ability to both work as an individual contributor and support the health of a team. Excellent communication skills, responsiveness, organization, flexibility and time management are essential for success in this role.  This is a bilingual position requiring fluency in English and Arabic.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver feedback and research on video content
• Review video content to ensure compliance with provided guidelines and criteria to meet client’s goals
• Identify patterns or trends in video content, adhering to client guidelines
• Evaluate and assess an assigned number of videos required to meet daily deliverables
• Provide high-quality examples of video content relevant to a trend or pop culture moment as requested by client
• Curate video content through selection, organization and presentation to build stories
• Apply a keen awareness of current pop culture and cultural /political climates in the MENA region to all work  
• Engage with the client in a professional manor in meetings and for project specific clarifications and feedback
• Accurately track time spent on client and 1021 related work through the 1021 provided time tracking tool and in time sheets.
• In collaboration with your manager, support the administration of training teammates as needed
• Special projects as needed
• Must be available to work occasional holidays
• May be required to work weekend days

Required Experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic
• Bachelor’s degree or experience in relevant job or industry
• Deep familiarity with the cultural and political climates in the MENA region
• Comfortable working with Google Suite, time tracking tools, with spreadsheets and other data management tools
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in guidelines, workflows, and tools
• Strong understanding of digital streaming products, particularly video and its ecosystem 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working remotely and within multicultural teams
• Experience with content moderation, content review, curation, or similar roles
• Knowledge of content review guidelines, best practices, and how to apply them
• Experience with copywriting /proofreading and an aptitude for journalism /editorial work, preferably with a focus on entertainment content
• The ability to review information with an analytical and objective mindset in a fast paced environment
• A keen interest in/knowledge of pop culture, social media trends and creators, and trending video content
• Strong familiarity with memes, hit songs and content trends in pop culture including music, dance, gaming, beauty, fashion, film, TV, pets, comedy, and/or sports
• Familiar with popular social media platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, X, Twitch, Clubhouse, etc.

Job Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week, Sunday-Thursday schedule)

Holiday work requirements: Due to the nature of our client’s work, you may be required to work occasional holidays as scheduled by your manager. In these instances, we will provide compensatory pay or a floating holiday depending on your country’s requirements.
