About the role

As a member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for engineering estimates in a timely manner specific to the requirements of the client, to check and confirm the cost we are authorizing is fair, reasonable and related to the incident in question.

Key Responsibilities:

Check incident circumstances against work estimated for to see if the damage could be related to the incident.
Check estimated costs are fair and reasonable.
Check estimates are within customer specific rates if a network repairer has been allocated Amend estimates to correct customer specific rates if a network repairer has been allocated Negotiate with non-network repairers in order to bring inflated costs down.
Authorize incident related work to repairers.
Correctly value vehicles for total losses.
Occasional repairer/site visits should the need arise

Skills and experience

HGV, Commercial and fleet Motor engineering and body shop experience — required
Audatex experience - required
Motor claims handling - beneficial
