About Your Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer with strong proficiency in Java SE to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based applications and infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) while leveraging their expertise in Java SE to develop efficient and scalable backend solutions.

Help develop and drive the vision of our AWS platform from an application and data perspective, working with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business objectives and design efficient and effective solutions.
Integrate Java-based applications with AWS services through SDKs and APIs.
Debug and troubleshoot Java applications running in cloud environments.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in Java applications and AWS infrastructure.
Optimize cost, latency, and resource utilization using AWS best practices.
Understand large-scale architecture for designing the future direction of the platform, guiding the current state to the future state target.
Analyze current landscape and details, troubleshoot issues, and create the future direction. This requires strong English communication skills.
Be experienced with multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments.
Have a good understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models.
Have a good understanding of product management, agile principles, and development methodologies and the capability of supporting agile teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks, taking into account technical and architectural debt.

Skills and Experience

3-5 years experience in cloud engineering, with demonstrated expertise in AWS
Demonstrated experience and understanding of the AWS ecosystem from a compute, database, storage, container, and other key AWS core and supported managed service offerings (Serverless, EC2, AKS, EKS, etc.)
Strong experience leveraging and designing from AWS Blueprints and related AWS solution architecture offerings.
5+ years of experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines, including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management, or cloud development.
3-5 years experience in Java or other object-oriented or functional languages on AWS or other cloud platforms.
Strong understanding of cloud-native, 12-factor, and microservices concepts.
3-5 years of relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, Postgres, MongoDB, etc.).
Strong experience in microservices & API development (REST, SOAP).
Strong experience in message-driven architecture (AMQP, JMS) and related technologies (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Artemis).
Strong experience with containers and container technology (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, etc.).
Strong experience in Java/J2EE technologies, Spring, and the Spring Boot framework.
Strong knowledge of Java SE (Java 8/11/17), including collections, concurrency, and JVM internals.
Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
Knowledge of DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Experience with ServiceNow administration, development, and integration.
Experience with agile development methodology (Scrum/Kanban).
Experience developing in multiple operating systems.
Experience in building APIs for both internal and external products.
Working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD principles and practices and DevOps tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and other relevant tools.
Experience in software development and deployment methodologies.
