As our firm continues to grow, we are looking for an AU Mortgage Credit Analyst to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in supporting our lending processes. As a Mortgage Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing loan applications, verifying financial documents, and ensuring compliance with lending policies. You will work closely with brokers, lenders, and clients to facilitate a seamless mortgage approval process. Job Description
As an AU Mortgage Credit Analyst, part of your responsibilities will be:
Document Review & Management
Manage the completion of the File Invite portal and verify documents against the checklist.
Ensure all requested documents are provided and uploaded into the cloud folder.
Review pay slips to confirm compliance with requirements and note deductions.
Check declared living expenses against bank statements for any credit liabilities or poor conduct.
Validate all supporting documents and ensure data accuracy in the CRM.
Credit & Financial Analysis
Order and review credit checks through the CRM (removing any TFNs or CRNs).
Assess credit reports for defaults and undisclosed liabilities.
Verify existing home loans, arrears, and general account conduct.
Complete funding and servicing calculators to determine loan viability.
Generate product comparisons based on broker notes.
Lender & Client Communication
Order upfront valuations and upload completed reports to the client folder.
Draft lender and product selection rationales, considering interest rates, product features, and client preferences.
Send submission notifications to clients, including expected SLA timelines.
Keep clients informed every two days and follow up with lenders accordingly.
Draft additional document requests for brokers to forward to clients.
Assist in settlement conditions, confirming receipt of contracts and bank approvals.
Post-Settlement Support & CRM Maintenance
Send congratulatory emails upon settlement completion.
Perform final file audits to ensure CRM data is clean and accurate.
Conduct a final file tidy-up, ensuring all records are properly documented.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the Australian Mortgage industry.
Experience working for an Australian Client/Business is required.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in financial data.
Proficiency in serviceability calculations and financial analysis.
Ability to review pay slips, especially for self-employed applicants.
Assertiveness, confidence, and charisma when dealing with stakeholders.
Experience working with MyCRM (preferred), Quickli, and AOL.
Experience in mortgage lending or credit assessment.
Strong knowledge of Australian mortgage policies and regulations.
Background in financial services, banking, or brokerage.
