Mediavine is seeking a Sr. Product Manager (Ad Tech) with significant experience in publisher facing ad technologies to join our Product team. This role will be responsible for helping to drive revenue opportunities and will work closely with our Head of Product, Director of Product Partnerships and Identity and the Ad Tech Engineering team.

Position Title & Overview:

The Ad Tech, Sr. Product Manager will serve as a critical bridge between technical execution and product strategy, ensuring the successful operation of our ad management platform. The ideal candidate has a strong background in ad technology and product management as well as a research, analysis and data driven approach to a product lifecycle.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Create new features, capabilities and strategies, to drive revenue for more 10,000 publishers
  • Partner closely with individual contributors, engineering leadership, and organizational stakeholders to align product strategy to company goals
  • Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for optimization, driving initiatives to improve ad monetization across our platforms
  • Define and track KPIs for ad tech initiatives
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving ad tech standards, protocols, and best practices to ensure the platform remains competitive and innovative
  • Availability to travel up-to on-site locations for team retreats, industry events/conferences and the annual all hands events approximately 20% of the time

Requirements

Location:

You Have:

  • 7+ years of progressive product management experience with a recent focus within ad tech
  • Strong context on the industry landscape and critical players in the ad tech ecosystem
  • Proven track record of launching successful ad tech products or features
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting, and interpreting ad metrics
  • Excellent communication skills to both technical and non-technical contributors and stakeholders
  • A strong understanding of on page technologies like: Prebid, Display ads, video, browser APIs and page render performance
  • Understanding of header bidding, ad serving, OpenRTB, ad tracking, and performance measurement
  • Experience with a research and validation oriented approach to a product lifecycle
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • Availability to travel up-to on-site locations for team retreats, industry events/conferences and the annual all hands events approximately 20% of the time

Nice to have:

  • Experience with ad optimization algorithms, and machine learning

At Mediavine, base salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range.  Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications. The base salary range for this role at the time of posting is $145,000 - $165,000 USD/yr.
