Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team and play a key role in deploying and maintaining infrastructure solutions. This position focuses on collaborating with our delivery team to deploy and manage on-premise solutions, with an emphasis on Kubernetes-based environments.
We are currently in the process of migrating our architecture from Docker Swarm to Kubernetes, providing an exciting opportunity to contribute to the transition and design decisions for on-premise Kubernetes deployments using tools like k3s.
In addition to our on-premise deployments, we also offer a SaaS solution, further broadening the scope of our technical landscape.\

Key Responsibilities

Collaboration with Delivery Team
Work closely with the delivery team to define and verify customer infrastructure requirements during project initialisation or major changes.
Guide customers on deployment models, security requirements, and infrastructure configurations.
Support existing SaaS environment in Azure
On-Premise Deployments
Design and implement on-premise Kubernetes deployments using tools like k3s, with the flexibility to make architectural decisions.
Perform initial application deployments, including smoke testing, LDAP/SAML/OAuth integrations, SMTP configuration, reverse proxy setups, and SSL certificate installation.
Verify connectivity, shared storage access, and VPN configurations for on-premise environments.
On-Premise Infrastructure Maintenance
Manage updates for existing deployments, including software upgrades and SSL certificate renewals.
Serve as a technical point of contact during audits, infrastructure changes, or documentation requests.
Migration to Kubernetes
Support the ongoing migration of our architecture from Docker Swarm to Kubernetes, including redesigning and optimising deployments for Kubernetes-based environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the migration process to ensure smooth transitions.
Security & Compliance Responsibilities
Conduct security risk assessments and audits, identifying potential vulnerabilities and working with relevant teams to prioritize and remediate findings.
Maintain and update compliance and security documentation (e.g., deployment diagrams, network flows, security controls) and provide guidance to customers on secure infrastructure practices.
