Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8 am - 5pm Metter, GA time with an hour unpaid break (40 hours per week)

Position Overview: As our Video & Audio Editor, you’ll be responsible for editing long-form and short-form content for the Service Business Mastery Podcast and its affiliated media. You’ll work closely with our team to refine our audio, create dynamic video edits for YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok, and ensure every piece of content aligns with our high production standards.

This role requires expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, and After Effects—with strong storytelling skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to create engaging content from raw footage.

Key Responsibilities:

Audio Editing (Podcast Production & Optimization)

Clean, mix, and master audio for podcast episodes using Adobe Audition (noise reduction, EQ, compression, and leveling).
Remove unnecessary filler words, long pauses, and background noise while maintaining a natural conversational flow.
Enhance clarity and vocal presence to ensure a studio-quality sound.
Sync video and audio for YouTube episodes and multi-camera interviews.

Video Editing (YouTube, Social Media, & Promotional Content)

Edit full-length podcast videos for YouTube, ensuring smooth pacing and professional polish.
Create engaging social media clips (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn).
Add motion graphics, lower thirds, captions, and transitions using Adobe After Effects.
Color correct and grade footage for a consistent and professional look.
Design eye-catching YouTube thumbnails and promotional assets in Photoshop or Canva.

Content Repurposing & Social Media Optimization

Repurpose long-form content into engaging short clips for social platforms.
Add dynamic subtitles and captions for accessibility and engagement.
Ensure all content is formatted correctly for each platform (YouTube, IG, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).

File Management & Workflow Optimization

Organize and manage video/audio assets, project files, and export formats efficiently.
Work within our podcast production workflow using tools like Frame.io, Google Drive, and Castmagic.
Maintain a consistent branding style across all video and audio content.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in video and audio editing, preferably in podcast or content marketing.
Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, and After Effects (APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT PORTFOLIOS)
Experience editing Insta360 videos
Strong understanding of podcast production workflows and post-production best practices.
Experience editing multi-camera setups and dynamic interviews.
Ability to edit quickly while maintaining high quality (tight turnaround times are key).
Strong grasp of storytelling, pacing, and engagement strategies for digital content.
Knowledge of AI editing tools like Descript, Castmagic, or OpusClip is a plus.
Experience with YouTube content optimization and best practices.
Bonus: Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve for color grading.
