Developer Advocate (Video-Content Focused)

Why this role matters:

We’re looking for a Video Developer Advocate to join Vonage and spearhead the creation of impactful video content for the official VonageDev YouTube channel. In this role, you’ll drive developer engagement worldwide by showcasing Vonage’s cutting-edge cloud communication solutions (with a core focus on our Network APIs) while elevating our YouTube platform into a cornerstone of our developer engagement strategy. Your work will blend technical expertise with strategic storytelling to inspire a global audience, highlight innovative use cases, and establish a thriving, globally recognized YouTube presence for Vonage.

In this role, you’ll:

• Content Creation: Develop and produce engaging video content for the VonageDev YouTube channel, highlighting the use cases and benefits of Vonage's Network APIs and other related topics.
• Content Strategy: Contribute to the overall video content strategy with stakeholders from Developer Relations and Product teams to ensure alignment and effectiveness in showcasing Network APIs.
• Community Engagement: Collaborate with the developer community team to amplify event impacts, sponsorships, and partnerships through compelling video storytelling, emphasizing the value of Network APIs in developer projects.
• Feedback Integration: Continuously integrate developer feedback into video content plans to enhance relevance and engagement around Network APIs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent messaging and high-quality video content is produced.

What you’ll bring:

Required

• Experience in creating engaging video content for developer audiences.
• Ability to use video production tools (such as Premiere Pro)
• Familiarity with YouTube content creation.
• Familiarity with cloud communication platforms (CPaaS)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable

• Experience as a Developer Advocate.
• Familiarity with cloud communication platforms (CPaaS), Network APIs, and Vonage APIs.
• Understanding of social media platforms and content distribution strategies.
