ABOUT THE ROLE

Join the Data Platform Engineering team to contribute to building a state-of-the-art data platform for our client, leveraging various open-source technologies and features. As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in collecting, processing, and analyzing data to make informed business decisions. Data Analysts will often create reports and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders and support data-driven strategies.

We are considering candidates located in NATO countries only. 

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Our client is a leading financial institution with a brand that encompasses various data domains, processes, and technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in gathering data from various internal and external sources, conduct exploratory data analysis to understand trends, patterns, and outliers.

  • Perform data cleaning and validation to ensure data is accurate and ready for analysis.

  • Perform basic statistical analysis (e.g., mean, median, standard deviation) to identify insights.

  • Write SQL queries to extract relevant data from databases.

  • Work with large datasets and perform necessary joins, filters, and aggregations.

  • Help in integrating data from different databases or sources to create comprehensive datasets for analysis.

  • Create simple reports, charts, and graphs to help communicate findings using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.

  • Assist in building dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Help create ad-hoc reports as required by team members or stakeholders.

  • Keep up-to-date with new data analysis tools, techniques, and best practices.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of experience as Data Analyst or working with data platforms.

  • 2+ years of experience working with SQL.

  • Knowledge on dbt.

  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.

  • Understanding of basic statistical concepts (e.g., averages, standard deviation, correlation).

  • Ability to write basic queries to extract and manipulate data from databases.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot trends or anomalies in data.

  • Comfortable preparing reports and presenting data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to troubleshoot data issues and come up with solutions, under the guidance of senior team members.

  • Ability to think critically and logically about data problems and business needs.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with Python or R for basic data manipulation and analysis.

  • Ability to work with structured and unstructured data is a plus.
