Location:  Remote - US/USA

Summary:

As a Billing Specialist, you will review jobs billed by the billing team and ensure accuracy of billing to customer.  Maintain up to date knowledge of client rates, service plans, maintenance agreements and understanding of billable and non-billable jobs.

What You'll Do:

  • Billing Team Quality Assurance:
    • Review TSP or partner invoices, as well as marked up jobs, non-billable job details and review maintenance and warranty to provide cost saving measures.
    • Review jobs in D365, coordinate with billing team to ensure accuracy of jobs billed.
    • Review job billed and coordinate with the account coordinator and TSP team to troubleshoot and provide resolutions.
    • Review customer billing guidelines as described in customer’s contract and ensure that customers are being billed correctly.
    • Review outgoing invoice before they are submitted to the customer.
  • Training & Customer Process Documentation:
    • Review the service agreement contracts and terms to analyze billable jobs and create training guides for teams.
    • Ensure that billing guides are updated regularly and generate billing guides for new customers when applicable.
  • Accounts Receivable Disputes:
    • Review incorrectly billed jobs and provide resolutions by either reversing the process or coordinate with customers to provide billing accuracy.

What You'll Need:

  • High School or Equivalent 
  • 1-2 Years Industry Related Experience
    • Experience with invoicing and billing, understanding of contracts and terms.
  • Computer Proficiency:
    • Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
    • High attention to detail and efficiency in dealing with customers, to be able to communicate in non-technical terms for better understanding, use of customer friendly terms. 
  • Basic Alarm System Knowledge - Preferred:
    • Be able to understand and read technician notes and evaluate the job completion timeline.
  • Knowledge of D365 & Mastermind - Preferred
