Job description

This is a remote position that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada.

Calix is looking for a Business Intelligence intern to join our Products Team. In this role, you will be part of a unique and award-winning internship program within the company. The program provides the opportunity to learn new skills through training and on the job learning.

In this role, you will work in a collaborative team environment to enhance and expand the capabilities of our software development lifecycle and operationalize the workflows. You will work with senior leaders and provide assistance in collecting data, release packaging, and analytics.

Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency of the release process and tooling. 
  • Create analytical dashboards that highlight trends, issues, risks, planned versus actual data/metrics etc. 
  • Assist in building a new software release framework. 

Qualifications: 

  • Computer Science, Data Science or Business management Student with at least two years completed. 
  • Must understand basic computer programming concepts, data structures, and object-oriented programming. 
  • Familiar with source control applications such as GIT. 
  • Detail oriented.  
  • Strong communication skills and excellent telephone presence. 
  • Ability to work for the complete summer break (May - August or June - September). 
  • Ability to work PST hours

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Familiar Software Development lifecycle. 
  • Familiar with databases such as SQLite, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. 
  • Familiar with SaaS applications. 

 Location: 

  • Remote-based position located in the United States or Canada.

Compensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's location of residence and multiple factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education.

There are different ranges applied to specific locations. The average base pay range (or OTE range for sales) in the U.S. for the position is listed below.

San Francisco Bay Area Only:

27.60 - 34.50 USD Hourly

All Other Locations:

24.00 - 30.00 USD Hourly
