Job description

We are looking for a motivated Middle/Senior Software Engineer (Python) to come and join our team of professionals. If you are passionate about technology and constantly seeking to learn and improve your skill set, then you are the type of person we are looking for!

About Our Customer:

The customer’s company is a Ghent-based startup solving a huge issue currently facing restaurants: handling incoming food-delivery orders. The company develops the systems for managing restaurant’s online channels from online ordering to POS.

The company’s young and international team currently includes 28 development enthusiasts, who work, innovate, and celebrate success together. The company has experienced founders with a huge network and is already working with some of the largest restaurant chains.

About Our Project:

The project is aimed at integrating third-party online ordering platforms and connecting online food ordering players such as Ubereats, Foodora, Takeaway.com, and Deliveroo, with the restaurant POS to enable the customers to spend less time typing orders.

Requirements:

● 4-5 years of experience working with Python

● Experience with building Web/REST APIs

● Solid understanding of Docker or Kubernetes

● Knowledge of Flask (we use Eve) or Django

● Ability to work and learn in a self-directed manner and as part of a team

● Great attention to detail

● Availability to work to the EST Timezone

Nice to have:

● Knowledge of databases includes NoSQL (ideally MongoDB)

● Familiarity with SaaS products or have worked on a product with frequent releases

● Background working with a TDD approach

● Basic cloud knowledge: Azure/Google Cloud/AWS (excluding AccuWeather)

● Experience mocking and testing of APIs with Postman

English: Strong Intermediate to Upper-Intermediate
