The Department of Mental Health seeks a Research Program Assistant who will be responsible for recruiting, tracking, and interviewing participating youth from Baltimore City/County for a funded research project. The position is a casual/on-call position. Hours will vary depending on tasks assigned and volume of participants. We expect this position will range from 5 – 35 hours a week over the course of the project, depending on project needs.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Participate in training on recruitment and interview protocols, including training on using web platforms for data collection, management, and tracking and equity training for interacting with participants.
- Meet regularly with research team as part of daily supervision meetings.
- Schedule and conduct qualitative interviews with participants.
- Recruit participants and contact participants regularly.
- Track data collection progress.
Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with laptops, tablets, computers, and MS Office applications.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
- Some related experience.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Some college courses preferred.
