As a Backup Engineer, you'll be expected to proactively engage with client servers to diagnose and resolve backup-related issues directly and you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding our clients' data through the proficient management of backup solutions, with a primary focus on Veeam.

Requirements

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Demonstrate expertise in Veeam, Azure and other backup technologies.

• Oversee the configuration, implementation, and optimization of backup solutions.
• Take the lead in resolving backup-related tickets promptly.
• Deep dive complex backup issues and providing solutions in accordance with the initiatives set.
• Conduct regular bubble and isolation test restores to validate the effectiveness of backup solutions.
• Accurately log time entries against tickets using ConnectWise.
• Lead efforts to ensure backup solutions align with clients' regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with clients to understand and implement Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO).
• Consistently live the values and demonstrate professional workplace behaviours that reflect the CT values. 

Here's what you'll bring:

• Previous experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
• In-depth knowledge of backup technologies, particularly Veeam.
• Proficient knowledge of infrastructure relating to backups.
• Familiarity with ITIL Change Management processes.
• Strong understanding of RTO and RPO concepts.
• Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
• Technical leadership skills in troubleshooting and ticket resolution.
• Enjoys a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with change
• Veeam, VmWare, Microsoft or backup vendor Certifications
• Proficiency in utilizing ConnectWise for time tracking and documentation.
