Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Support Specialist who will play a crucial role in delivering quality care to the communities we serve. This full-time position offers a \(500 sign-on bonus, with an additional \)500 available for Qualified Mental Health Professionals. You will work Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, with a rotating Saturday schedule (10:00 am - 2:00 pm) every five weeks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized and group education services based on a motivational, stage-matched approach, focusing on the client's strengths and needs.
  • Collaborate with clients and their families to identify preferences and support the development of a comprehensive Wellness Plan.
  • Offer holistic services that encompass the Eight Dimensions of Wellness while helping clients achieve their recovery and resiliency goals.
  • Aid clients in accessing public services, including financial and housing assistance, and maintaining contact during hospital stays.
  • Facilitate education and skill-building in critical life areas such as daily living skills, employment, and budgeting.
  • Engage with clients to develop personal support systems and ensure access to needed services, including accompanying them to appointments as necessary.
  • Document all services rendered within required timelines and maintain compliance with company guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a human service-related field is preferred.
  • Relevant experience working with individuals with psychiatric, substance use, and/or developmental disabilities is essential.
  • A valid driver’s license and minimum automobile coverage as established by the agency.
