Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd Shift, is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of equipment, machinery, and facility systems. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs to minimize downtime and maintain productivity. The technician will work with a variety of tools and technologies to address mechanical, electrical, and plumbing concerns, and will collaborate with other team members to support overall facility operations.
Job Responsibilities
Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment and systems
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and plumbing issues
Respond promptly to maintenance request and emergencies
Inspect, install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
Test malfunctioning equipment to identify and repair electrical or mechanical problems
Use electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for problem solving and troubleshooting
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations
Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems as needed
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
Job Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
1 year of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
2 years of industrial electrical experience inspecting, installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting equipment and systems
