Job description

This is a remote position.

40 hours per week with potential for increased hours, 9 AM - 6 PM Maryland Time with 1 hour unpaid lunch

Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced Production Designer with a strong background in production-ready file preparation, layout creation, and brand alignment. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Canva (preferred), with a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality digital and print deliverables. This role requires someone detail-oriented, efficient, and able to independently manage projects while leveraging design systems to maintain consistency across multiple assets.


Key Responsibilities


 File Preparation for Production: Prepare files that are ready for both small and large format print and digital production, ensuring they meet specific requirements and quality standards.

 New Layout Creation Based on Brand Guidelines: Develop new layouts and designs adhering to client brand guidelines and requirements, maintaining consistent brand identity across projects.

 Efficient Use of Design Systems: Leverage and contribute to design systems to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and ensure consistency in asset creation.

 Mock-ups and Prototypes for Digital Assets: Develop mock-ups and design prototypes for website landing pages and other digital assets using Figma, meeting brand and design specifications.

 Custom Graphics and Illustrations: Create custom graphics and illustrations for social media templates, presentations, and marketing materials tailored to client needs and audience preferences.

 Brand Identity Development: Assist in developing brand identities, including logo redesigns, color schemes, and brand guidelines, ensuring brand consistency across all media.

 Presentation and Sales Material Design: Produce visually engaging presentations and sales materials that support marketing and sales efforts.

 Advertising and Marketing Collateral: Design and produce digital and print collateral for advertising, ensuring that designs are aligned with brand guidelines and channel specifications.

 Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with marketing, product, and other teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals and design standards.

 Audience-Centric and Strategy-Aligned Design: Understand target audiences and marketing strategies to create designs that are relevant, compelling, and effective.

 Stay Updated with Industry Trends: Regularly research and incorporate industry trends, best practices, and new techniques into designs to keep the agency’s offerings fresh and innovative.

 Quality Control and Consistency: Ensure all designs maintain a high standard of quality, with attention to detail and consistency across all marketing channels and media.




Requirements

 Portfolio Submission: Must provide a portfolio or samples of previous work, showcasing versatility in both digital and print production and a range of creative projects.

 Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Advanced expertise in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop (LightRoom is a plus), with the ability to prepare print-ready files that meet production standards.

 Figma Expertise: Demonstrated experience in Figma for creating mock-ups and online design prototypes.

 Microsoft  Expertise: Expert using the Microsoft suite of creative tools for deliverables in Powerpoint and others.

 Canva Experience (Preferred): Familiarity with Canva for creating easily editable and brand-compliant design templates.

 Strong Understanding of Design Principles: Mastery of design principles, including typography, layout, and color theory, with the ability to implement these independently.

 Brand Guidelines Interpretation: Ability to read, interpret, and execute based on brand and style guides, ensuring adherence to visual identity standards.

 3+ Years of Experience: At least three years of experience in a similar production or graphic design role, with a focus on both digital and print media.

 Excellent Communication Skills: Proficient in written and verbal communication, able to communicate effectively with clients in a professional yet casual tone.

 High Attention to Detail: Exceptionally detail-oriented, capable of producing error-free, pixel-perfect, and print-ready deliverables.

 Self-Starter and Organized: Highly organized and proactive, capable of managing multiple projects independently and meeting deadlines.
