Position Overview


The Senior Software Quality Analyst is crucial within our Quality Assurance team by managing both manual and automated testing efforts and spearheading shift-left initiatives. This role focuses on enhancing QA processes and documentation to ensure high-quality standards are consistently met. Positioned within an Agile environment, the analyst collaborates closely with developers to strategize early involvement in the development cycle. This collaborative and dynamic role leverages advanced skills in JavaScript or TypeScript, utilizing tools such as Playwright or Cypress, to drive process improvements. Strong communication abilities are essential for client interactions and effective reporting, highlighting the analyst's pivotal role in fostering Supply Chain Solutions innovative solutions in a fast-paced, technology-driven landscape. Unique challenges include maintaining a balanced approach to manual versus automation testing and enhancing test documentation to ensure comprehensive testing coverage. The role demands advanced proficiency in Agile methodologies, test planning, and significant expertise in black/white/gray box testing methodologies.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, focusing on both manual and automated testing strategies using tools like Playwright or Cypress.
  • Lead shift-left initiatives to integrate QA processes earlier in the development cycle, ensuring early involvement in the development process.
  • Track, report test results, and enhance QA processes using JIRA and TestRail, facilitating clear communication with cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate directly with developers and product owners to understand and translate requirements into effective testing strategies.
  • Improve QA documentation, establishing clear guidelines and processes for testing activities.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced QA team members, enhancing overall team capabilities.
  • Conduct test plan and case reviews, integrating and acting on feedback from various teams.
  • Increase test coverage and improve test documentation to ensure comprehensive testing outcomes.
  • Demonstrate real-time status reporting for QA processes and tasks, ensuring transparency and effective workflow management.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in test planning, design, and analysis, including both manual and automated testing
  • Advanced proficiency in Agile methodologies and frameworks

Experience with test automation tools, particularly Playwright or Cypress, and scripting languages like JavaScript or TypeScript

  • Advanced skills in using work tracking tools like JIRA and TestRail
  • Strong communication skills, with experience in direct client interaction and reporting
  • Proven track record in leading QA process improvements and shift-left initiatives
  • Comprehensive understanding of Black/White/Gray box testing methodologies and risk-based testing
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab)
  • Experience in frontend and backend testing within Scrum environments

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration
  • Certification in ISTQB or similar quality assurance framework
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner
  • Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript for test scripting and automation
  • Knowledge of security testing practices and tools (no OWASP experience needed)
  • Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to innovate testing solutions
