Job description

Use Your Power for Purpose

The US Hospital Go to Market Excellence Lead will be responsible for ensuring Enterprise initiatives and capabilities development are pulled through to drive performance and value for the US Hospital business. This role will interface with various HQ/Enterprise teams and act as the POC and Hospital subject matter expert to ensure initiatives are aligned to the broader Hospital strategy. Additionally, this role will lead the downstream execution, communication, and metric/KPI creation & alignment with relevant Hospital teams (Marketing, Sales, CF Strategy, etc.) and cross-functional partners.

Role Summary

This role will also support launch readiness activities across the Hospital portfolio (IG and Surgical/Injectables) and will consult with key business processes (Op Plan Resource prioritization, forecasting) in partnership with Sales, Marketing, CF Strategy, and Medical, and Business Insights & Reporting colleagues.  

The colleague will join a distinctive function with demonstrated record of preparing colleagues for promoted opportunities across various functions, e.g., sales leadership, account management leadership, marketing, commercial operations, advanced analytics.


Responsibilities​

The individual should possess a combination of strategic thinking, analytical expertise, project management skills with excellent communication and presentation abilities. A growth mindset, strong matrix leadership and ability to influence others is required to help the US Hospital organization achieve aggressive patient impact and revenue targets. S/he will report directly to the US Hospital Customer Facing Strategy and Operations Lead and collaborate closely with respective Sales, Marketing, CF Strategy, Medical, CMO Office, Customer/Patient Facing teams, BAI, Operations, and Digital, Operations and Digital.

Key responsibilities include:      

Accelerating:

  • Development and execution of tactical plans to adjust the GTMX path forward based on assessment of learnings

  • Work with BU and Operations and Excellence stakeholders to stand up relevant measurement and metrics to assess GTMx impact

  • Activation of leaders within US Hospital as Champions/Ambassadors of Go to Market transformations

  • Perform proactive analytics to uncover key, actionable insights that drive business performance and strategic decision-making

Leading:

  • Critical Hospital operational processes (Operating Plan, PMO Engine, Resource Prioritization) and build Lightspeed & Growth Mindset capabilities across teams

  • Hospital NextGen Analytics platform: build out TA-specific AI & ML capabilities; define a way of working model to ensure opportunities are identified/captured at Lightspeed

  • GTMx & Transformation vision, strategy and execution – support Portfolio Marketing and Customer Facing Teams  on metrics/KPIs development and pull-through tactics

  • Development and execution of the BU GTMx implementation plan

  • Communications of GTMx platform, through partnership with central Change Management and Communications to ensure cohesive messaging for the BU in a timely manner

  • Process improvements to streamline and simplify operations, ensuring increased data accuracy and efficiency in business workflows

Supporting:

  • Key launch readiness activities and opportunities in portfolio growth brands (priorities to maximize customer impact and business performance

  • Commercial Excellence team (strategically and operationally) on Enterprise initiatives, GTMx partnerships with external customers, and CFC development & engagement

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • BA/BS Degree required.  MBA or other advanced professional degree (e.g., PhD, JD) preferred

  • At least 8 years of previous pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales/consulting experience with a strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, broader trends in healthcare landscape and economics

  • Excellent analytical skills, including strategic thinking, ability to frame problems and opportunities using supporting data, problem solving and measuring impact

  • Demonstrated self-starter, proactively identifying the need for specific analyses and programs, and marshaling the resources to evaluate and resolve the most challenging, strategic issues

  • Ability to both drive strategy and execute with speed and high quality

  • Executive presence and ability to influence and establish working relationships across leader levels

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written, PowerPoint, meeting facilitation of different sizes)

  • Strong project and time management and organizational skills

  • Discretion and trustworthiness in dealing with confidential information

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Prior experience and understanding nuances in Hospital/Generic Injectable space is preferred

  • Demonstrated proficiency at leading complex projects and managing cross-functional teams

  • Familiarity with strategic and operating planning processes

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and understanding of working in a matrix environment

  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop, and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact

  • Thrives under pressure; takes accountability and meet deadlines

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $169,700.00 to $282,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
