This position is responsible for the acquisition, validation, and processing of key customer data for consumption by multiple products and strategic initiatives within the company. The position is responsible for the end-to-end journey of the data. From extraction to final consumption, the role is responsible for integrating data, ensuring quality and integrity and adhering to governance standards.
This role will work closely with customers and stakeholders to translate company data requirements and match metadata relationships to ensure data is usable and accurate. This position is also responsible for building and maintaining the Business Data Dictionary/Specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create new and maintain new and existing business data specifications, along with translation and interpretation of various customer source systems.
  • Create and maintain data ingestion process flow to capture the end-to-end journey of data, from its origin, transformation, loading, and consumption.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and analytics team to understand data requirements necessary for the business and data analytics.
  • Create and/or assist to build solutions to extract data from the identified sources using methods like SQL Queries, file transfer, data streaming protocols, and APIs based on customers’ technological capabilities.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with partners, technology vendors and service providers to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
  • Utilize data exchange tools to map source data to target systems by applying data cleansing, aggregation, filtering, and enrichment techniques.
  • Build reports leveraging company’s data visualization tools to analyze incoming data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can help determine data quality.
  • Coordinate testing, validation, and deployment with customers and internal teams.
  • Triage data quality issues and recommend solutions to resolve them.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to address discrepancies or errors in acquired data.
  • Create and/or assist partners in developing scripts to automate data submissions process based on their technology capabilities to maintain the required cadence.
  • Manage acquisition cycle-time by maintaining accurate records of tasks and activities.
  • Design and enforce standards to ensure consistency, accuracy, and scalability of data acquisition processes.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance data acquisition workflows and efficiency, and to reduce redundancy.
  • Communicate data acquisition strategies, progress, and impediments to stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment with business objectives.
  • Work independently, building strategies to prioritize tasks, particularly in ambiguous situations.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information management, statistics, economics, or an equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience. 
  • 6+ years of data acquisition or related professional work experience.
  • Experience with product and operations of financial institutions or technology vendors preferred.
  • Demonstrated effective analytical, problem solving, planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to clearly navigate customer data sources to retrieve relevant business information.   
  • Ability to conduct extensive data quality analysis and drive meaningful results.
  • Ability to make rapid changes to processes, service, and responsibilities as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively build business relationships with internal and external customers. This includes strong influencing, persuasion, relationship building, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure and within deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate (in writing and verbally) up and down organizational structure regarding data requirement needs and data acquisition strategies.
  • Demonstrated competency in SQL or other database management systems.
  • Proficiency in data exchange platform tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Competent in using data visualization tools to drive business outcomes and decisions. Example would be power BI.

Base Salary Range:

$100,400.00 - $150,600.00
