Summary
A Fax Navigator is responsible for managing and overseeing the process of receiving, distributing faxes within Graham Health. A Fax Navigator will review and interpret medial documentation and ensure that it is attached to the chart and the staff is notified.
Fax Navigator Responsibilities Include:
Receive and process incoming faxes promptly and accurately.
Sort and distribute faxes to the appropriate departments.
Attach faxed documents to patient’s chart. Use the coordination notes to ensure the correct staff are notified of new information.
Process any new referrals that come through faxes and ensuring they are exported to HCHB.
Ensure the confidentiality and security of all faxed documents.
Communicate with clients and internal staff to confirm receipt of important documents.
Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualification Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role is preferred.
Previous role working in a medical setting preferred.
Proficient in medical terminology is required.
Proficiency in using fax systems.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with email and document management systems.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must have and maintain in good standing professional license, certificate, or registration, as applicable.
