The Technical Alliance Manager helps build the industry's #1 technical-enabled alliance community. You’ll educate alliance partners on the merits of our joint technology and solutions and evangelize Veeam's value as the preferred data resiliency partner.

This critical role within the Global Alliances team will help position Veeam as the data resiliency leader with our most strategic global alliances: HPE, Lenovo, Hitachi Vantara, Pure Storage, and others.   Identifying and Developing Veeam technical “champions” within these alliances will be a key component of this role.

Your tasks will include:
  • Enable alliance technical sellers to position, sell & win with Veeam
  • Conducts live and virtual presentations / educational sessions and deep-dive technical demonstrations
  • Develops and leads technical training sessions for Veeam’s global alliance partners
  • Identify and educate alliances on sales plays to support the partner's key business initiatives and grow the pipeline
  • Drive awareness of all Veeam products and their differentiators and align to alliance partner products and offerings
  • Create relationships with partner technical leaders and influencers to expand mindshare in the account.
  • Assist sales personnel in executing the partner account strategy to maximize Veeam revenue
  • Provide pre-sales assistance and subject matter expertise to alliances for meetings, demonstrations, and proof of concepts as their customers evaluate Veeam software
  • Effectively utilize available resources to meet and exceed area sales objectives
What we expect from you:
  • Bachelor’s degree A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Previous pre-sales experience or demonstrated sales acumen desired
  • Extensive experience with Virtualization Technologies (VMware VCP & Microsoft MCITP or equivalent)
  • Experience with designing, building, or selling data availability solutions
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt to changes in roles and responsibilities
  • Ability to travel 50%
  • Must be a high-energy, motivated, self-starter, and able to learn new technologies quickly
Will be an advantage:
  • A breadth of experience with core technologies, including Storage, Networking, Servers, Security and applications, with a depth of experience in VMware virtual technologies and Microsoft Windows Server / Hyper-V.
  • Hands-on experience with Veeam or competitive solutions is desirable
  • Strong knowledge of Data Protection & Disaster Recovery technologies is desirable
  • Experience & Understanding of Channel Sales & Enablement is desirable
  • Experience with databases and management platforms like Microsoft System Center is desirable.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
  • Experience with scripting, orchestration, and workflow tools is desirable.
