Job Summary

The primary responsibility for the Business Intelligence Analyst is to follow established practices in delivering reporting across Harley-Davidson Financial Services (HDFS).  Leveraging HDFS’ data warehouse, the Business Intelligence Analyst will deliver basic analysis and support the teammates in advanced analysis requests.  This individual will participate in Business Intelligence projects with a primary responsibility of documenting requirements as well as testing implementations.  Daily responsibilities will revolve around delivering production reporting, validating and testing data loads, and basic ad-hoc support.  Support on special projects will center around requirement gathering/documentation, testing, training, and gaining knowledge in HDFS functional area operations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support tactical execution of Company data, analysis and reporting for all areas of the Company Ensure that all recurring reporting requirements are created in a timely and accurate manner Provide management with targeted, incisive and succinct dashboards, analysis, and supporting reports that enable data-driven decisions Ensure the Company continues to evolve in its data integrity, analysis, and reporting capabilities in an environment of continuous improvement Support of ad hoc data requests Support data warehouse documentation and, testing, and training Assist in the development of prototype analytical and reporting tools as well as training for all data-users throughout the division to ensure consistency and accuracy Protection of information and compliance with the law are paramount.  Protecting employee, customer and corporate information is everyone's responsibility.  All employees must follow established safeguards, including policies regarding data protection, segregation of duties, and access to information based solely on business need.    Further, it is the responsibility of all employees to maintain awareness and understanding of relevant laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, and to comply with all of them.

Experience Requirements

Required:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Successful candidate will have 1+ years of financial services industry experience, preferably in consumer and/or commercial finance
  • Experience in report, dashboard, and scorecard design/implementation
  • Good analytical skills and ability to navigate obstacles
  • A performance-oriented, resourceful and competitive individual with a high sense of urgency
  • Able to prioritize analytical requests in face of changing priorities and competing demands
  • Good organization skills Understanding of financial services data platforms
  • Preferred:
  • Technical hands-on BI software experience, with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, BusinessObjects, Alteryx, etc. (experience with multiple software packages preferred) Advanced level Excel skills, VBA and MS Access preferred A good listener, capable of understanding the restraints and possibilities of the business, able to translate this to concise, targeted, actionable dashboards and reports
  • An individual of the highest integrity, whose professional and personal conduct reflects favorably upon the company.
  • Able to communicate effectively to multiple audiences in written format and oral presentations
  • Ability to travel up to 5%

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
