Job Description:
As anEnglish-Speaking Medical Administrative Assistant, your primary role will be to support the office by managing faxes, lab reports, patient referrals, and prior authorizations. Your contributions will directly enhance the office's efficiency, improving the patient experience through well-organized administrative processes.
Responsibilities:
Organize and manage incoming electronic faxes within the office's advanced EMR system.
File and categorize medical documents such as lab reports into appropriate patient records.
Assist with patient referrals to specialists, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
Handle prior authorizations for medical procedures and treatments.
Support general administrative tasks to maintain office workflow efficiency.
Requirements
Requirements:
Proficiency in medical terminology and EMR systems.
Excellent organizational skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations.
Ability to work full-time during Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours.
Strong problem-solving abilities and independence in task management.
