Role Name: Customer Service Agent with Inbound Sales and Medical Administration Focus

Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM Indianapolis, IN time, with 1 hour unpaid break

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Manage inbound sales calls with a focus on converting potential patients into scheduled appointments, employing a sensitive and ethical approach
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both prospective and existing patients, addressing inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism
  • Efficiently handle appointment scheduling and rescheduling, optimising the practitioner’s time and patient flow
  • Perform essential medical administration tasks, including processing lab results and assisting with prior authorizations
  • Liaise with insurance companies to facilitate smooth patient care and billing processes
  • Contribute to the practice’s marketing efforts by posting targeted advertisements on specific platforms
  • Utilize various communication tools, including Google Voice, to maintain seamless connectivity with the team and patients
  • Ensure strict HIPAA compliance in all patient interactions and data handling, maintaining the highest standards of patient confidentiality
  • Collaborate with the practice owner to implement strategies for business growth and improved patient care
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a warm and professional demeanour
  • Previous experience in customer service or sales, preferably in a healthcare-related field
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare processes, with a willingness to learn and grow in this area
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using various software tools and adaptability to learn new systems quickly
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Thorough understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining certification
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and thrive in a remote work environment
  • Empathetic approach when dealing with potentially vulnerable individuals, coupled with a passion for mental health advocacy
  • Comfort with a performance-based structure, including base pay and commissions for successful patient acquisitions
