Internship date : May 5th to August 22nd 2025

The role we are offering you:

The Tool Control Assistant will report to the Fleet Supervisor and assist the Tool Control Coordinator (TCC).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Mounting tools into their respective tool boxes, making cut outs in all the drawers to house the tools.

  • Engraving tools as per tool control purposes.  Assisting the development of a database to control the inventory.

  • Working in tool Vidmar cabinets, to identify all consumable tools that will be used during the FLIP.  IE. Stocking of drill bits and reamers etc.

  • Assist TCC in carrying out inspections of our existing tool boxes/boards and making improvements to them.

  • Follow the Flight & General Safety policies in accordance with local plans;

  • Be in compliance with all aspects of the established quality system within the NFTC program;

  • Assure the security of documents, equipment and material as they relate to corporate propriety.

  • Other duties as assigned by Fleet Supervisor

Our ideal candidate has: 

  • Ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines

  • Ability to manage several tasks at once and set priorities, willing and able to work in a constantly changing environment

  • Ability to recognize opportunities and suggest ideas to Project manager and customers as needed.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

  • French language skills considered an asset.

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suit (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) is required.

  • Experience in JIRA will considered an asset.

  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and strong analytical skills are required.

Preferred Education

  • Pursuing a/an college/undergraduate/ degree

Location of the internship is in Moose Jaw.

Internship will be carried out in person

*All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). All hires will be required to complete, sign and return the Controlled Goods Program form within a week of its transmittal. They must also provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate. All students with a work permit must provide a copy of it and a police clearance certificate from the country or countries where they have resided in the past five years.

*Please take note that if you are on a student, work or international student permit, the delays for the security background check take minimum 16 weeks.
