Key Responsibilities

Accurately transcribe depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
Create verbatim transcripts while strictly following established style guides.
Maintain exceptional attention to detail throughout the transcription process.
Collaborate effectively with our supportive in-office team as necessary.
Manage your own schedule to meet deadlines efficiently.

Required Skills

Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
Strong listening abilities and adherence to client-specific deadlines.
Exceptional literacy skills, including spelling, grammar, and comprehension.
Proficiency in typing with both speed and accuracy.
Capability to process challenging audio/text content, including potentially sensitive material.
Familiarity with legal terminology is essential.
Candidates must be able to pass a background check.

Qualifications

Significant experience in legal transcription is required.
A strong understanding of legal concepts and terminology is advantageous.
No specific degree is mandated, but relevant coursework or training in legal transcription is preferred.
Court reporting students will also be considered.
