ABS Kids is looking for a Licensing Specialist to join our team! The Licensing Specialist is responsible for managing the licensing process for our providers that require a state license (BCBA�s, Psychologists), ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in the state or country of practice. This role involves facilitating the application and renewal process, gathering required documentation, and ensuring our providers meet all criteria to maintain an active license to practice. The specialist also provides guidance on licensing matters and works closely with healthcare organizations, regulatory bodies, and providers.

What would you do?
License Application Management:
Assist providers in completing and submitting licensing applications
Review and verify required documentation for accuracy and completeness
Track and manage the status of applications, ensuring timely processing
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay up-to-date with state and federal licensing requirements, changes in regulations, and medical board guidelines
Ensure all providers meet the required qualifications for licensure and renewal
Monitor and maintain knowledge of continuing education and certification requirements
Credentialing Support:
Coordinate with credentialing departments to ensure accurate and up-to-date records for all providers
License Renewals:
Manage license renewal processes for providers, ensuring all deadlines are met
Review renewal applications and ensure compliance with state, federal, and hospital regulations
Communication & Liaison:
Act as a liaison between providers, medical boards, and healthcare organizations
Communicate updates, requirements, and deadlines to providers and other stakeholders
Provide guidance on questions related to licensing and regulatory processes
Record Keeping and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all licensing applications, renewals, and communications
Ensure confidentiality and security of all provider-related documentation
Provide regular reports on the status of licenses and renewals to management
Problem Resolution:
Address any issues or delays in the licensing process, working with relevant parties to resolve discrepancies
Provide support for providers facing licensing challenges or discrepancies with their applications
Training and Education:
Provide training and education to providers regarding licensing requirements, documentation, and timelines
Stay current on trends, best practices, and changes in healthcare licensing regulations
Who are we looking for?
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field is preferred
Certification in medical credentialing or licensing (e.g., CPCS) is a plus
2-3 years of experience in medical licensing, credentialing, or healthcare administration
Knowledge of state and federal medical licensing requirements is essential
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
