Location: ROCKAWAY, NJ, USA

Salary: $85,000.00 USD Annually - $120,000.00 USD Annually

Description: Sales Manager (Remote + Travel) - Battery Monitoring Systems Manufacturer

We are seeking a results-driven Territory Sales Manager with a proven track record in the mission critical industry. You will be responsible for prospecting and managing key accounts, developing and executing sales strategies, and leading initiatives to exceed sales targets. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our growth while also mentoring junior team members and contributing to the overall success of the sales team.

Location: Remote + 50% travel. Candidates in Texas, Illinois, Arizona or Georgia are preferred based on the customer base.

Compensation: Base Salary of $85,000 - $120,000 + Tiered Commission Structure (Uncapped). Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, STD, LTD, PTO, etc.

Customers: Data Centers, Telecommunications, Industrial, Utilities, Remote Backup Facilities, Public Safety, Military, Government, etc.

Sales Target: $1 Million in the first year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, prospects, manufacturer's representatives, resellers, and consulting engineering firms.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, driving sales growth within assigned territories and accounts.
  • Sales Execution: Meet or exceed sales targets by effectively managing your sales pipeline, closing deals, and providing expert-level product knowledge to customers.
  • Collaboration & Support: Partner with internal teams (marketing, operations, etc.) to align sales strategies and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor and train junior sales associates, sharing best practices and sales techniques to elevate the team's performance.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts, and updates for senior management.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent the company at industry events and conferences, building brand awareness and networking with key stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of sales experience in the battery management or related mission critical power industry.
  • Proven Success: Demonstrated ability to prospect, manage, and grow strategic accounts.
  • Travel: Ability to travel nationwide up to 50%.

    • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple accounts effectively
    • Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented with a strong work ethic
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset
    • Ability to work independently and maintain a strong work ethic
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
