Team Overview

In the Payment and Banking Solutions (PBS) department, you'll focus on delivering a superior client and branch experience when moving funds outside of Edward Jones via ACH, Checks, Wire and Banking transfers. This a high performing department, in a fast-paced environment, dedicated to driving forward multiple firm priorities, regulatory changes, and additional improvement initiatives. Through strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration, you'll continuously identify opportunities for operational efficiency and risk mitigation, supporting the firm in its key objectives.

What You'll Do

As the Business Support Specialist II, you will represent the department by participating in or leading cross-departmental working groups to solve key problems of the area, execute on firm deliverables, and influence change within the capability. While this position is an individual contributor role, you'll be working in partnership with a variety of stakeholders and various representatives from other areas as well as expected to act as a mentor to multiple associates.

  • Balance 3-5 key efforts at any given time along with additional smaller walk-in projects.
  • Able to effectively and independently manage time to conduct thorough multi-stakeholder research, generate multiple potential solutions, shape a perspective, determine priorities, clearly articulate pain points and the path forward, influence key stakeholders, develop and implement change plans, and execute on these efforts. Requires minimal guidance for shaping the story.
  • Plan, test, and execute projects, enhancements, and processes, including the launch of new products or product partners and enhancements to existing tools and systems by using clone, performing qualitative and quantitative analysis of complex and confidential data, and broadening and deepening Subject Matter Expertise.
  • Lead Department Strategy Plan and Execution for larger scale efforts in partnership with upstream and downstream stakeholders.
  • Identify, pursue, and execute on new opportunities within the Asset Movement capability to improve efficiency or reduce risk.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and begin to collaborate and build consensus with leaders from multiple areas.
  • Actively mentor other associates within the department to increase knowledge and skills.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risk in relation to both existing and new processes and systems both within the team and in relation to upstream and downstream stakeholders.
  • Partner with core division and firm groups (including Firm Analytics, Technology, Product, WMAS, Compliance/Legal, Optimization, etc.) to craft a business case representing area focuses and influence prioritization within these entities.

Hiring Minimum: $61600

Hiring Maximum: $101600

  • Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.**
