Role: Mid Traffic Manager

Job Level: Mid (5-7 years' experience) 

Location: Remote working until further notice 

Time Zone Required: SAST 

Type of contract: 12 months FTC

Start Date: ASAP 

Language: Proficiency in English is required as we are a global business 

 

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE ROLE AND TEAM 

The Traffic Manager is responsible for ensuring the account is resourced in an accurate and timely manner, ultimately matching skills to confirmed requirements to achieve high utilisation across the teams and meet agreed deadlines.  

 

Reporting to the Business Director, the Traffic Manager oversees the creative team within the onsite team while aligning with an offsite client and offsite creative team in the UK.  

 

WHAT IS REQUIRED: 

  • Is responsible for workflow management, process adherence, triaging work, oversight of briefs vs output, project coordination and reporting.  
  • Builds strong and mutually beneficial relationships will all discipline leads to correctly identify/assign appropriate team member(s) per client brief. 
  • Responsible for allocating and monitoring on-site resource between business units. 
  • Working with regional and HQ-based resource team members to provide movement of resources across on-sites/HQs when required 
  • Knowledge of the contractual core team, assisting predictions of resource requirements & maximum spend that will ensure margin management 
  • Ownership of skill-set matrix for members of staff in designated area/on-site 
  • Maintain network of direct/reliable short-term support staff in localised areas 
  • Identify and resolve any potential resource conflicts and resolving/ or escalate to Business Director prior to a crisis occurring. 
  • Understanding and ensuring client specific contract terms are adhered to e.g. Banked hours 
  • Seeks new opportunities for client resource management within the scope of Oliver’s capabilities 
  • Successfully manages client expectations on the delivery of design, copy and artwork jobs, always upholding the provision of excellent customer service 
  • Receives new briefs from clients, raises job numbers and ensures the correct AM/ PM and senior creative contact is informed, based on the team structure and brief triage process. 

 

WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE: 

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, including attention to detail and Agile capability 
  • Comfortable booking and managing resource in studio settings with high-volume, fast-paced work 
  • The ability to multitask effectively and deal with constant requests and changes 
  • The understanding of agency and account processes  
  • Good negotiation and problem-solving skills 
  • Experience dealing directly with clients 
  • Encourages others and demonstrates good leadership skills in cross-discipline, multi-level team 
  • Challenges convention by exploring alternatives 
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and willing to learn the key skills for running a business 

 

3 years of relevant experience in:
