POSITION SUMMARY:

Our Redmond-based client is looking for a Support Engineer for a remote-based position. 

 

The main function of a Customer Engineer is to tactfully handle and articulate customer critical issues and develop and present technical solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Ability to effectively recognize and adapt to change.
  • Ability to deliver presentations and discuss complimentary products at the level of a solution.
  • Ability to handle customer-critical issues and work in difficult situations.
  • Risk analysis and remediation planning.
  • The ability to read/interpret the needs/wants of customer executives and leaders.
  • Ability to tactfully handle and articulate customer critical issues and work in a high-stress environment.
  • Growth mindset demonstrated by self-directed learning in a rapidly changing environment.

 

Qualifications:
  • Must have 5-7 overall years of experience in the field.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience with workplace technology, such as room booking solutions, desk booking solutions, occupancy sensor solutions, indoor mapping, and conference room technology.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience with MSFT suite.
  • Must have 5+ years experience with Project Management.
  • Should have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or a related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
  • People management and team building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities.
  • Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization.
  • Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions.
    Experience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment.
  • Experience in the enterprise customer arena.
  • Face-to-face customer engagement skills.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
  • Troubleshooting knowledge & skills.
  • Degree qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Good understanding of ITIL/Service Management.
  • Passion for new innovative technology and drive customer transformation.
  • Demonstrate effective balance between business and technical acumen.
  • Should have Advanced Microsoft certifications.

  • A competitive pay range of $68/hr- $72/hr (depending on experience).
  • Location: Remote - United States
  • 15 days per year of Paid Time Off (PTO).
  • 8 paid holidays per year + 1 floating holiday.
