Job description

About the Role : 

Rubrik is seeking a Salesforce CPQ QA Engineer. This role will report to the Test Engineering Manager and is located at Rubrik in Bangalore, India.

 

Key Responsibilities : 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify testing objectives, requirements, and test plans.
  • Create and document comprehensive test cases, scenarios, and data.
  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using testing tools, ensuring best coding practices.
  • Conduct functional, performance, and regression testing to identify defects and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Automate test cases for regression testing, applying practical approaches to complex testing.
  • Lead projects independently and own QA deliverables for a dedicated portfolio.
  • Document functional flows and provide knowledge transfer to cross-functional teams.
  • Review and address automation code queries, participate in test design plans, and estimate QA efforts.
  • Execute tests and manage the software test life cycle (STLC).
  • Evaluate functional requirements captured by business analysts and engage in the change management process.
  • Ensure on-time delivery, drive innovation/growth tasks, and advise the business team based on functional expertise.
  • Adhere to standardized QA policies, processes, and documentation standards, ensuring integrity and compliance.
  • Track and report quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defects.
  • Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure new changes do not impact existing functionalities.
  • Ensure integrity and follow QA processes for test environments, including source code and version management.
  • Provide regular reports on sprint/project/initiative progress, sharing application performance issues with the development team.
  • Conduct data migration, setup, and validation within Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to define requirements, and deliverables, set expectations, and manage them effectively.
  • Enthusiastically and proactively learn new technologies.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, promoting collaboration and effective communication.
  • Contribute to open-source automation frameworks.
  • Help team with upskilling in the core tools
  • Work with the support team on application-specific issues
  • Document work and track project details.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

 

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 7+ years in Salesforce, with at least 5+ years in Sales Cloud and CPQ.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with CPQ tools and Quote to Cash processes.
  • Good understanding of Salesforce CRM, Salesforce CPQ, web services, and Service Oriented Architecture.
  • Proficient in SOQL and SQL; exposure to testing integrations.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and proven working experience in an Agile environment.
  • Experience in QA with SaaS platforms including Salesforce.com, NetSuite, Workday, Coupa, and middleware such as Jitterbit/Boomi/MuleSoft, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (Java Selenium), API Testing, and knowledge of test automation frameworks and best practices is a big plus.
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
  • Great attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate, and document defects.
  • Ability to adapt to short sprint cycles (2 weeks).
  • Define and review test cases to ensure quality and appropriate design patterns.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Great team player capable of working efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working remotely and collaborating with global teams, with flexibility in work hours.
