Job Overview

Elite Asia is actively seeking dedicated and dynamic freelance Chinese Translators to enhance our esteemed linguist team. Our translators are pivotal in delivering assignments that align with our clients’ precise requirements. We primarily operate within the Legal, Banking and Finance, Media, and Marketing sectors, and are currently focusing on Mandarin/Chinese translators proficient in the Singapore and Malaysia dialects for long-term collaborations and urgent project needs.

Key Responsibilities

Execute translation tasks that meet client specifications with a strong focus on quality.
Maintain excellence in translation, particularly in the following sectors: Advertising or Marketing, Government, Education, Gaming, Legal, Industrial and Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical or Medical, Retail and E-commerce, Technology, and Travel and Hospitality.
Manage a minimum daily output of 1,200 words and weekly capacity of 6,000 words or more (if lower, please specify your capacity).
Provide timely responses to job inquiries and requests within one hour during office hours (Monday to Friday).
Indicate availability for assignments during weekends and public holidays when necessary.

Required Skills

High proficiency in both English and Chinese (specifically Singapore or Malaysia dialect).
Capability to post-edit machine translation to achieve human translation quality.
Strong understanding of translation practices across various industries.
Excellent communication skills and responsiveness in a professional setting.

Qualifications

A minimum of 1-2 years of translation experience is preferred; however, fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Demonstrated experience in relevant industries will be an advantage.
