Job description

Are you a self-starter, a go-getter, and a dealmaker with a strong technical background? Dynacast is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for the Northwest territory. We specialize in manufacturing small- to medium-sized precision die cast components, blending engineering expertise with cutting-edge technologies.


As a Business Development Manager, you will have ownership of the pipeline for prospect accounts, engaging key stakeholders and promoting Dynacast’s capabilities to solve complex, engineered solutions. This role offers a competitive salary, a promising commission program, and an opportunity to work from a home office while traveling within the Pacific Northwest region (including parts of Western Canada) and to Dynacast’s North American plants.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Growth & Relationship Building: Own and develop a portfolio of prospect accounts, driving significant sales growth by winning new business and establishing lasting relationships.
  • Consultative Selling: Use insight and consultative selling techniques to educate customers on their industry and how Dynacast’s solutions can help solve complex challenges. Demonstrate the unique value of our precision-engineered parts.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Quickly identify and build relationships with key stakeholders within new accounts or divisions. Serve as the go-to resource for solutions.
  • Collaborative Selling: Partner with Application Engineering and Plant Engineering teams to accelerate business wins and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Effective Pursuit Planning: Create and execute strategic pursuit plans to enhance the quality of the sales pipeline, drive deal closure, and improve the customer buying experience.
  • Expand Reach: Identify opportunities to broaden Dynacast’s footprint within accounts, building long-term business relationships.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Sales Experience: 2+ years of successful outside sales experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in selling custom parts or components.
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience in manufacturing, die-casting, or an understanding of tooling, design, and metals is highly beneficial. An engineering background is ideal.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience or certifications are also acceptable.
  • Travel: Must be willing and able to travel up to 60% of the time.
  • Location: Candidates must reside in the Pacific Northwest region of the US to be considered for this role.
