🛠️ Your Role: Process Industrialization Engineer – New Production Systems

As the Process Industrialization Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth expansion of JCH2’s production capacity and advancing the Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL). You will collaborate closely with local production teams in France and China, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with JCH2’s global manufacturing strategy.

📋 Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a SQCDP approach (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People) throughout production operations.
  • Conduct Make-or-Buy analyses, define automation levels, and propose CAPEX/OPEX balances for new production capacities.
  • Develop Value Stream Mapping (VSM) for key manufacturing processes (e.g., bipolar plates & stack manufacturing).
  • Maintain a database of technical specifications for processes and equipment, ensuring standardization across gigafactories.
  • Build templates for:
  • FMEA, FAI/PPDAP, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Standard KPIs, training programs, and production efficiency tracking.
  • Support the step-up to MRL7 and ensure readiness of new production capacities.
  • Facilitate Return of Experience sharing from gigafactory projects and ensure continuous learning.
  • Monitor emerging technologies for integration into manufacturing processes.

  • Supporting the footprint development for bipolar plates and stack manufacturing.
  • Partnering with local teams to drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Building a certified vendor database and ensuring adherence to operational excellence standards.

👥 Your Team

You will report to the Gigafactories Industrialization Manager, part of the Global Manufacturing Department, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in Europe and Asia. Your onboarding includes a hands-on learning program at our production sites in France and China.

🧩 Your Profile

Experience And Skills

  • MSc in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering.
  • 10–15 years of experience in mass production or industrialization, with expertise in LEAN manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of machining, welding, and assembly processes.
  • Proven track record in managing industrial projects in fast-paced, competitive contexts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools; familiarity with CAD software is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and French; knowledge of Chinese is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, prioritize, and manage multiple projects.
