We are the company behind the wildly successful DIY channel 5-Minute Crafts, the inspirational and creative channel Bright Side, and a wide portfolio of other popular channels across YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and more.

We are currently looking for a Video Editor to join our Creative Agency team remotely on a part-time basis (2-3 days a week).

Responsibilities:

• Edit both long-form and short-form YouTube content, ensuring high-quality and engaging storytelling.
• Elevate raw footage using creative editing techniques, visual effects, and sound design.
• Implement effective pacing and transitions to keep viewers engaged.
• Apply audience retention techniques to maximise watch time and engagement.
• Stay updated with YouTube’s algorithm and trends to enhance video performance.
• Work closely with the team to maintain a consistent visual style and branding.
• Dedicate focused time to the rough cut stage without working on other projects to ensure quick turnaround.
• Weekend availability is a plus for faster project completion.
• Maintain efficiency without compromising attention to detail.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience editing content for YouTube channels, with a proven track record of audience engagement.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to enhance footage and improve viewer retention.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (or preferred editing software).
• Basic knowledge of After Effects, color correction, and sound design is a plus.
• Strong understanding of English to ensure seamless communication and alignment with content tone.
• Awareness of the latest YouTube trends and the ability to creatively apply them.
• Creative Vision: Ability to transform raw footage into compelling content with engaging storytelling techniques.
• Sense of Humor: Ability to integrate humor where possible to enhance entertainment value.
• Visual & Sound Design: Basic knowledge of VFX, sound design, and color grading to improve overall video quality.
• Proactive Approach: A self-starter mindset, suggesting improvements and creative ideas rather than waiting for direction.
• Collaboration: Ability to work closely with producers, scriptwriters, and other creative team members.
