Location: Brazil (100% Remote or Hybrid for Serra Gaúcha residents)

Compensation Currency: Brazilian Real (BRL)

Contract: Permanent Full Time (CLT) - 42h/week

Commercial Finance (FP&A)

At Cyncly, we recently evolved our performance management (former FP&A) structure into Group Performance and Planning and Commercial Finance. This role sits in the newly formed Commercial Finance team and aims to partner with the business and make it successful.

Commercial Finance’s mission is to provide scalable, data-orientated, and actional insight to drive proactive and reactive decision-making across the group. We deliver across 4 key areas:

  • Optimise performance to drive better outcomes across the group;
  • Execute on Cyncly opportunity, including the successful landing of new initiatives;
  • Data-orientated decisions made across General Managers and Heads of Functions.
  • Budget/forecast control throughout the organization.

Commercial Finance is a global “OneTeam” split across different geographies. Roles are not defined by location; this is central to both setting structures to scale and continuing the positive culture across the team.


About the role

Reporting into a Commercial Finance Business Partner, the Commercial Finance/FP&A Analyst will support data-centric processes and analysis to support key strategic and operational decisions. The work will focus on functional business partnering with the opportunity to become a true expert in headcount, payroll and people related analysis and reporting of the business.

This role provides significant growth opportunities for the right candidate as it offers the depth and breadth of both multi-geography and multi-business line exposure in a fast growing, dynamic, and acquisitive software business.

Main Responsibilities

Support monthly reporting processes:

  • Run both BU specific reporting as well as the group level BU business partnering.
  • Includes driving regular output analysis, working with the FP&I managers to automate processes over time.
  • Work with core Finance to drive deeper understanding of performance.

Business partnering

  • FP&I business partnering has a broad scope, driving data orientated decisions throughout the group.
  • FP&I managers work directly with leaders (e.g. LATAM, vertical GM) and the FP&I analyst will support.

Budgeting and forecasting

  • Similar to business partnering, the FP&I Analyst will support FP&I manager(s), working with the business, to deliver on monthly rolling P&L forecasts as well as the overall budget process.


Required skills and competencies:

  • Ability to think laterally and problem solve, providing scalable solutions;
  • Demonstrated ability to roll up sleeves and work with wider team members in a hands-on environment;
  • Advanced Excel skills required (problem solving in excel vs being a calculator);
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and performing complex modeling;
  • PowerPoint user;
  • To be successful, a proactive, entrepreneurial, can-do attitude will be important;
  • Highly motivated and organized;
  • Interested in the bigger picture;
  • Working level of English language;
  • FP&A related experience;
  • Software industry experience is a nice-to-have.
