The Role

The Finance and HR Manager will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, ensuring accuracy and alignment with IFRS and Saudi regulations. The role will provide strategic financial insights, supports business growth, and ensures adherence to Saudization and Saudi Insurance Authority requirements. Strong analytical skills and financial governance expertise are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare and present timely and accurate financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual reports).
    • Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local Saudi Arabian regulations.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Lead the budgeting process, providing insights into financial trends and business performance.
    • Prepare quarterly financial forecasts and ensure alignment with business goals and strategies.

  • Internal Controls:

    • Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to ensure the integrity of financial data.
    • Monitor and review financial transactions to detect and prevent discrepancies, mistakes, or fraud.

  • Cash Flow Management:

    • Monitor cash flow to ensure the business has sufficient liquidity to meet its current and future obligations.
    • Oversee working capital management, including accounts payable and receivable.
    • Prepare weekly cash flows and assist with cash pooling.
    • Work with the local banks to ensure compliance.

  • Tax Audit and Compliance:

    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and resolve any findings.
    • Ensure the business adheres to tax regulations, including VAT, Zakat, and other local tax laws.
    • Ensure all regulatory tax filings and compliance related information is submitted on time.

  • Strategic Financial Advice:

    • Provide senior management and group with financial insights and recommendations for decision-making.
    • Support strategic initiatives such as expansion and cost management.

  • Saudi Insurance Authority Compliance:

    • Provide the Saudi Insurance Authority with an annual statement of business according to the form prepared by the Saudi IA for this purpose, within 3 months from the end of the fiscal year.
    • Submit financial statements certified by an accredited auditor to the Saudi Insurance Authority within three months from the end of the fiscal year, which includes the following data:
    • Budget and financial statements for the past fiscal year.
    • The number and names of the clients and Insured parties that the business has worked with.
    • For every client, provide individual details of fees invoiced, fees received and outstanding debtors during the past fiscal year.

  • Saudization

    • Ensure compliance with Nitaqat 2.0
    • Facilitate business visas for overseas colleagues.
    • Ensure that employee Iqama, medical insurance and multiple exit visas are kept up to date.
    • Liaise with the company's external compliance consultant.

  • Carry out Ad Hoc duties and tasks that are allocated to you at the discretion of management and that are within your capabilities and within the scope of your post.

Required Skills

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting, preferably from an internationally recognised institution.
  • Saudi national, fluent in written and spoken Arabic and English.
  • Experience working with multinational or Western companies in Saudi Arabia.
  • Strong knowledge of Saudi accounting and tax regulations, including compliance considerations for international employees traveling for work.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.
  • Personable with an ability to build strong relationships with people, both internally and externally.
  • Team player with a can-do attitude who is also comfortable working independently without supervision.
  • Accuracy, numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
