The role
As a Backup and Disaster Recovery (BDR) Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain BDR solutions to ensure the security and recoverability of our clients' data. Your role is crucial in developing and optimizing BDR processes to minimize downtime and data loss.

Day to day your role will involve
Design and Implementation: Develop and deploy BDR solutions tailored to client needs.
Optimisation: Continuously improve BDR processes and solutions for efficiency and effectiveness.
Incident Management: Lead the response to backup and recovery incidents, providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for BDR solutions and procedures.
Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure cohesive and integrated BDR strategies.

About You
3-5 years of experience in backup and disaster recovery engineering.
Strong working knowledge of backup and recovery tools (e.g., Veeam, Asigra, Zerto, Quest RR).
Experience with cloud-based backup solutions.
Solid understanding of data replication, deduplication, and compression techniques.
